Splotch diagrams are live. Unlike static AI-generated visuals, ours are fully editable, syncable, and linkable: built for teams who need their documentation to keep up with fast-changing systems like CRMs, ERPs, and onboarding flows.
Today’s updates make editing live diagrams even smoother. Whether you're mapping out a sales workflow, refining an integration path, or documenting a complex customer journey, it's now easier than ever to adjust your diagram in real time, manually or with AI.
What’s New?
We’ve shipped several quality-of-life updates to improve the editing experience:
- Better connector reassignment: Drag a connector to a new node with more fluid UX; no weird snapping or rerouting. It’s fast and intuitive, especially when you’re updating flows.
- Edge labels that make sense: Before, connector labels sometimes awkwardly overlapped with the lines themselves. We’ve fixed that: labels now sit cleanly and clearly.
- Updated color scheme: We’ve refreshed the visual design for better readability and contrast. It’s subtle, but it makes a big difference when you’re deep in a complex diagram.
These changes may seem small, but they’re part of a bigger commitment: making live diagramming effortless.
What Makes Splotch Different
We built Splotch because the old way of doing diagrams doesn’t work for fast-moving teams. Traditional tools break down when you have to:
- Keep diagrams in sync with changing processes
- Share editable context with technical and non-technical teammates
- Collaborate across roles like RevOps, Solutions Engineering, and Product
Splotch diagrams are:
- Editable: Modify, style, and rearrange anything. Our layout engine helps you keep it neat.
- Syncable: Push changes from text to diagram, or vice versa, without starting over.
- Linkable: Every node connects to its source text. Click to reveal the underlying logic.
This isn’t just a nicer interface. It’s a whole new protocol for working with LLM data and diagram engines like YFiles.
What You Can Do Now
With today’s updates, here’s what editing a live diagram looks like in Splotch:
- Add a new node with a click
- Rename a node manually or with AI
- Select and edit multiple nodes at once
- Draw a connector between nodes
- Reassign a connector by dragging it to a different node
- Label your connector (or update an existing label)
- Use “Clean up” to tidy the layout
- Sync the diagram back to your text in one click
It’s diagramming, but reimagined for how modern teams actually work.
